Christmas crime warning from police

Fri, 09 Dec 2011

The Manx public is being urged to be on its guard against crime this Christmas.

The Isle of Man Police are warning that the majority of crimes committed over the festive period are opportunist.

Ensuring doors and windows are locked, valuables aren't left on display and keeping an eye on your purse or wallet are just some of the measures officers say are crucial to avoid being the victim of a crime this winter.

Crime Prevention Office Mike Radcliffe says thinking about where you store Christmas presents is also important [play clip]
