60 mile per hour winds could disrupt sailings later

It's expected there could be yet more disruption to sailings later.

This morning's departure was brought forward so that the Ben-my-Chree would avoid the worst of the weather.

However the 7.45pm and 2.15am return tomorrow could be cancelled or disrupted with winds reaching 60 miles per hour expected this evening.

The 2.15pm sailing from Heysham is going early at noon, with passengers asked to check in by 11.15 this morning.

The Steam Packet Company will make a further announcement around 5.00pm.
