The Island's politicians are in favour of plans which could eventually see each constituency have the same number of representatives in the House of Keys.

A report by the committee looking into political constituencies wants each voter to choose the same number of MHKs.

Currently, 8 constituencies pick 1 MHK, 5 have 2 representatives and Onchan and Rushen elect 3 members.

The report was approved by Tynwald at this month's sitting.

Chief Minister Allan Bell presented the report on behalf of the committee, saying reform is overdue, and that he supports the direction of the report.

Middle MHK Howard Quayle is also in favour of change. He believes the current system is unfair [play clip]
