Weather conditions keep Ben stuck outside port

Passengers on this morning's Ben-my-Chree sailing to Heysham have been left circling outside the port.

Weather conditions weren't favourable for the vessel to dock when it arrived at Heysham this afternoon.

Fastcraft Manannan, which set off later, has been able to dock as it's more manoeuvrable, leaving the Ben holding outside.

All passengers and cars travelling from Heysham to Douglas will sail on the Manannan, with the Ben taking the freight when it's able to dock.

Both sailings were delayed whilst the operator waited for the weather conditions to improve.
