Police patrol Governor's Hill following spate of damage

Wed, 04 Jan 2012

Police are conducting house to house enquiries in Governor's Hill after two incidents of criminal damage which officers believe are linked.

On New Year's Eve, paint stripper was poured over the roof and bonnet of a blue Ford Focus parked in the Stanley Mews area.

This was followed by a rock being thrown through the window of a house on Stanley Mews yesterday morning at around 11.45.

None of the occupants of the house were injured but were shaken and upset.

Police say they're treating the incidents as linked.

Officers are conducting house to house enquiries and will be maintaining a presence in the area.

Anyone who has noticed someone acting suspiciously in the area or has any other information which could help police is urged to contact the police directly, or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
