More homestay places needed

Fri, 20 Jan 2012

More homestay accommodation is needed for TT.

The Department of Economic Development is still looking for Manx residents to take in TT visitors during this year's festival.

Early bookings show there could be a 10% increase in visitor numbers for this year's races.

Last year there were over 700 homes registered to provide accommodation for visitors.

The scheme provides extra accommodation for tourists, whilst the homeowners are exempt from tax on up to £1500 of earnings from visitors.

Those interested have until April 30th to register with the Department of Economic Development
