Golf Links hotel sold to developer

Fri, 27 Jan 2012

The Castletown Golf Links Hotel has been sold to developer Dandara for £2.5m.

The landmark building at Derby Haven was put up for sale after a £1 million court judgement was made against businessman Graham Ferguson-Lacey.

Mr Ferguson-Lacey has links to the company that formerly owned the hotel.

The golf course has recently been sold separately from the hotel to South African businessman Philip Vermeulen.

Dandara hasn't announced any firms plans for the former hotel at the moment.

MHK for Castletown Richard Ronan would like to meet with representatives of the company to learn more.
