Chief Minister to make Freedom of Information statement

The Chief Minister is to give an update on legislation which would give the public greater access to Government information.

Allan Bell will make a statement on the Freedom of Information Act at this month's sitting of Tynwald.

The previous Government started bringing the new law in, but Mr Bell wanted a further investigation into the cost of the legislation before continuing.

He said in the November sitting of Tynwald that he would report back on the cost of the Freedom of Information Act in February.
