Disabled bus users must get new bus pass

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Disabled users of the Island's bus service must apply for a new style photo bus and rail pass by next Saturday.

The new pass is now being issues by the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure's Public Transport Division.

Transport bosses warn anyone who fails to switch to the new pass by March 31st could have their old pass withdrawn, and may be asked to pay a fare.

The new pass is valid for 5 years, and carries all the same concessions as the current document.

Carers for the disabled must also make the switch by the end of the month.

The photo cards are being issued from the Welcome Centre in the Sea Terminal between 10.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
