Woman charged following Island's largest Cannabis seizure

A woman from the Walton area of Liverpool has appeared in court after £140,000 worth of Cannabis was seized from a sailing at the weekend.

The 51 year old is charged with the importation and possession of Cannabis with intent to supply.

Police say it's the single biggest seizure of Cannabis on the Island to date, and are crediting drug detection dog Snoopy with uncovering the haul.

A second woman has been bailed after also being arrested off the Manannan sailing on Saturday.
