Manx cyclist Peter Kennaugh is a world champion after Great Britain won the gold medal in the Team Pursuit at the World Track Cycling Championships.

The 22 year old was part of the quartet to win the event in world record breaking time in Melbourne.

There was also a gold for Isle of Man resident Ben Swift in the individual scratch event

The world championship is the last event for track cyclists to qualify for the squad for this summer's Olympic games.
