Vandals cause thousands of pounds worth of damage at school cricket pitch

Ramsey Grammar School

£4000 worth of repairs are needed to Ramsey Grammar School's cricket pitch following vandalism.

The artificial pitch at the school's west building has been ripped up making it unplayable.

The damage was caused between Wednesday last week and yesterday.

The damage also affects Ramsey Cricket Club, who play their home fixtures there.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw something suspicious in the area between the given dates to get in touch.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Ramsey Police Station or staff at the Grammar School.
