Ferry services delayed due to technical issue

The Ben-my-Chree has been delayed

Today’s sailings have been disrupted due to a technical issue with the Ben My Chree.

This morning’s 2.15am service from Heysham to Douglas only departed at 6.37am - meaning passengers will have been on the vessel for over eight hours by the time it docks.

The delay will have a knock on effect on the return sailings – passengers due to travel on the 8.45am return service have now been asked to check in no later than 10am or 10.30am for foot passengers.

A further update is expected at around 9 o’clock.
