David Anderson appointed as temporary Education Minister

Thu, 21 Jun 2012

The Chief Minister has been forced to change his plan to appoint Treasury Minister Eddie Teare as the temporary Education Minister.

Mr Teare volunteered for the job after Peter Karran was sacked.

However, it’s emerged that there’s a law preventing any political member of the Treasury from performing a role in another department.

Health Minister David Anderson will now take on the job for the time being.

Allan Bell is off-Island at a British Irish Council meeting and will choose a permanent replacement when he returns.
