Crookall chosen as new education minister

Thu, 12 Jul 2012

The new-look Council of Ministers has now been revealed after Peter Karran was sacked as education minister.

Chief Minister Allan Bell has chosen Tim Crookall to take over at the Department of Education and Children.

Mr Crookall's ministerial post at the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure will be filled by Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen.

It's Mr Cregeen's first ministerial role.

Mr Karran lost his seat on CoMin for not supporting the government's decision to invest £24m in Pinewood Film Studios.
