Peter Kennaugh and his team set new world record in qualifying

Thu, 02 Aug 2012

Peter Kennaugh and the Great Britain team pursuit cyclists have had a phenomenal ride in qualifying at the Olympic velodrome.

They finished at the top of the board, setting a new world record in the process.

The finals are being held tomorrow and a repeat of today's performance could see Peter become only the second Manxman in history to win an Olympic gold medal.

His brother Tim Kennaugh is over the moon with today's result and looking forward to the race tomorrow.[play file below]
