Complaints against Manx financial services drop

The number of complaints made against financial companies on the Isle of Man has dropped in the last year.

The Office of Fair Trading has released the annual report for the Financial Services Ombudsman Scheme for the last financial year.

It shows that 287 formal complaints, and 270 enquiries, were received about financial service providers such as banks, insurance companies or financial advisors.

Most of the complaints came from people living in the UK with 24 per cent coming from people who live here.

Fair Trading Officer Pauline Wood says it’s positive that complaints have fallen after a financially difficult few years:
