Social Care Minister to appear before Tynwald committee

The Social Care Minister will today be appearing before a standing committee of Tynwald.

Over a 12 month period each government department will be required to come up against a scrutineering committee.

Today Chris Robertshaw will be addressing social security reciprocal arrangements, incapacity benefits, safeguarding children, the Regulation of Care Bill, and the closure of Glenside.

The session will get underway at 10.30am in the Legislative Council Chamber, with members of the public welcome to attend.

The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee will comprise of MHK’s Brenda Cannell, Steve Rodan and David Callister MLC.

Next in the chair will be Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson on the morning of October 24th.
