Retail survey being carried out on Island

Mon, 17 Sep 2012

Around 1,000 households will receive a phone call from associates the Department of Economic Development over the next fortnight.

It’s part of a study in to the changing shopping habits of the public and will help shape future policy as government tackles the Island’s slumped retail sector.

The department says that a greater understanding of shopping patterns will assist in creating a retail strategy, with the ultimate aim of securing the future of the industry.

Telephone numbers will be selected via random digit dialing and the survey will take no longer than seven minutes to complete.

Calls start today and will be undertaken by NEMS Market Research.
