Island space company fighting US court case

Sat, 22 Sep 2012

Excalibur Almaz is currently fighting a court case in the United States against a woman who claims the company defrauded her of $300,000.

It has been reported in the Houston Press that the claimant says she was encouraged to hand over the money as an investment in an asteroid mining project.

The woman in question, Donna Beck, has claimed her money was used to fund international travel for the Excalibur board of directors.

When the mining company failed to materialise she was offered 3,000 shares in Excalibur Exploration Limited, the company set up in the Isle of Man in 2007.

In response to the accusations Excalibur Exploration has said it cannot discuss the details of ongoing civil litigation, no matter how frivolous it is in their opinion.

It say's itis not deterred from its course by those who no longer wish to be part of their important work.
