Results of gambling survey to be published

Wed, 03 Oct 2012

The results of the Isle of Man’s first gambling study will be published tomorrow.

In January 4000 gambling prevalence surveys were sent to random households on the Island – the first time a study like this has been attempted.

Almost 2,000 people returned them confidentially, offering their views and attitudes towards the pastime.

GamCare will present the results at a public lecture on Thursday.

Support worker Lynsey Smart explains why the exercise needed to be conducted:

Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting which starts at 6pm at Keyll Darree.
