Bowel Cancer Awareness information day

A charity raising awareness to the dangers of bowel cancer will be based at the Strand Shopping Centre throughout today.

 

Bowel Cancer Isle of Man will be offering advice and information about screening appointments, with early detection seen as the key in a swift and successful battle with the illness.

 

Chairman Heather Norman said they encourage people to speak more openly about the condition, saying there is currently a taboo surrounding it.
