TT figures show increase in commercial revenue

The figures are in - TT 2012 saw a significant increase in commercial revenue compared with last year's event.

Independent monitoring company -  Kantar Media - analysed the TT TV feed and estimated that the global audience is up 45 per cent to 23.1 million people.

It’s thought that the coverage of the TT brand carries a value of over £4 million.

This year's festival received over 400 hours of global television coverage - proving to be ITV4’s most popular sport broadcast for the year - attracting 8 million and 648,000 people to the 14 programmes.

On Island the newly introduced ‘remote’ grandstands sold just shy of 3,000 tickets, with 4,493 sold for the main grandstand on the four race days.
