Helpline for elderly to launch next month

A new helpline which will offer support for elderly people in the Isle of Man will be launched next month.
The Silver Line is the brainchild of TV star Esther Rantzen who has chosen the Island as one of two locations to launch the pilot of the idea.
If a three month trial goes successfully the 24 hour confidential telephone support service will be rolled out throughout the UK.
The project is being supported by Comic Relief and local company SMP Partners.
