Trade Union Council 'fully support' bus strikes

Tue, 18 Dec 2012

The Isle of Man Trade Union Council says it fully supports a planned bus strike later this week.

The council, which is made up of a number of unions including the drivers’ union Unite, says employees have been backed into a corner.

At the end of last week drivers voted to strike for three days from Thursday after negotiations over changes to terms and conditions failed.

Although the TUC says it regards industrial action to be a last resort it believes the point has come where enough is enough.
