A much loved household pet has been reunited with his family in time for Christmas seven years and 11 months after he went missing.

Henry the Manx cat disappeared from his home in Abbeylands in the storms of January 2005.

For nearly eight years he’d been living in the wild at The Braaid until he was handed in to the MSPCA last week.

Although his family have moved house several times since 2005, a microchip revealed a contact phone number.

His publicity-shy owner says Henry still recognises him and the family are over the moon to have him back home for Christmas.
