MHK constituency plans go out to public consultation

A public consultation has been launched geared developing a simplified approach to House of Keys constituencies.

As it stands there is a mixture of three, two and one-seat zones, with a significant variation in the numbers of voters per MHK.

New plans would see the 24 Keys seats divided into twelve constituencies, with two Members each.

So far working names have been assigned to the new constituencies, these are no definitive however and the public will be asked to give their opinions.

Bob Riding is part of the Boundary Review Committee, he is hopeful Tynwald are receptive of the proposals:
