Today’s sitting of Tynwald should see a definitive outcome to plans to introduce tuition fees for Island students from next year.

Although the amount will be determined based on parents' earnings it will be a minimum contribution of £2,500.

There is expected to be a large gathering of students outside the Tynwald building this morning, and then when it breaks this afternoon.

Chris Owen has been the spokesman for the Students Organisation Against Fees.

He says he’s hopeful the right outcome can be achieved:
