No rate rise for Port St Mary

Fri, 25 Jan 2013

There will be no increase in rates in Port St Mary over the next financial year.

They will remain at 306p in the pound.

Chairman Mary McCabe says prudent management has allowed the rate to stay the same, despite increasing waste charges and the completion of several projects in the village.

Mrs McCabe says the budget has had to be tightened but it does still allow for maintained service levels and further investment in a number of schemes.
