Majority of drivers vote against new solution

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

It looks as though the current bus driver dispute is set to rumble on.

A possible solution to the row over changes to pay and terms and conditions was put forward in a sealed ballot.

The ballot closed today with 79 out of 103 drivers voting.

56 of them rejected the new offer – details of which have not been made public - and 23 accepted.

Unite says a meeting of  union members will now be arranged to find a way forward.
