Bus drivers strike for fourth time

Bus drivers will be looking to cause disruption during a fourth round of industrial action today.

That’s the message from Unite - the union that’s fighting against changes to their pay and employment contracts.

Drivers are striking twice – from 7.30am to 9.30am – and again at 3pm to 5pm.

A Sunday service timetable will operate throughout the day and trains and trams will be put on to help get children to and from school.

Unite representative Eric Holmes says a previous strike that caused no disruption failed to have the desired effect:
