MEA expect to have completed restoration work by end of day

The MEA engineers worked through the night and have significantly reduced the backlog of properties without power.

100 more customers were returned to normality by this morning, approximately 85 homes remain without.

The MEA say they’re hopeful everyone will have their power back by the end of the day.

Teams are currently in the Ballaugh Curraghs, Dalby and Abbeylands areas.

Members of the public are reminded that if they come across any damaged lines and equipment to ensure that they stay well clear, for safety and operational reasons, if you are uncertain call the Customer Support Team on 687687.
