Thu, 11 Apr 2013
Police are still seeking witnesses after a body was found inside a car that caught fire at the Point of Ayre.
A member of the public called the emergency services after they spotted a car on fire near to the lighthouse on Tuesday evening.
Fire crews arrived at the scene just before 8pm to extinguish the flames.
Once the fire was out it was discovered that someone had been inside the vehicle.
Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the death are still being carried out.
Police think a number of people would have been in the area at the time and they’re appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
