Noble's full to capacity after Bray Hill crash

Anyone requiring urgent hospital treatment on Senior Race Day would have been flown to the UK for it.

That’s the admission from Noble’s Hospital which says a racing incident at the start of Friday's last TT race left it full to capacity.

11 people were rushed to the hospital after racer Jonathon Howarth lost control of his bike on Bray Hill.

Although the race was restarted any riders that needed medical attention would have had to be airlifted further afield – something attributed to a lack of equipment and resources rather than staff.

Orthopedic surgeon Ian Wright told us why that decision was reached:
