Thu, 27 Jun 2013

Government has pledged £150,000 in response to the Syrian humanitarian crisis.

Money will also be allocated to the ongoing effort to combat cholera in Sierra Leona.

The money will be split evenly between three charities.

Concern UK will put its fund allocation into the major effort to supply 100,000 refugees with clean water to stop the spread of diseases.

Member for the International Development Committee David Anderson says it’s important the Island can aid those struggling for the basic necessities of life that many take for granted.
