Government in talks over future of London air links

Sat, 06 Jul 2013

Two government departments are working with airlines to make sure the island keeps good air links with London.

It follows news that BA Cityflyer will temporarily reduce the number of flights to London City from September and Flybe will end its Gatwick service from next April.

Officials from the Departments of Economic Development and Infrastructure have had discussions with BA and Easyjet, which operates a Gatwick route.

As a result, Airport Director Ann Reynolds says it looks like good services and capacity should be maintained.
