DASH monitoring UK drugs report

DASH says it will continue to offer support and advice to people who are addicted to painkillers and anti-depressants.

It's after a UK survey revealed that over-the-counter and prescription drugs now kill more people in Britain than heroin and cocaine.

Last year 807 people died across the UK as a result of misuse of these legal prescription drugs; that's 90 more than those who died from class As.

Shelly Stanley from the charity says these substances don't carry the same stigma as notoriously harmful illegal drugs (audio):
