Warning to drug smugglers

People who try to smuggle drugs into the Isle of Man will face the full force of the law.

That’s according to police who last week stopped more than £11,000 of heroin from entering the Island.

A 39-year-old man from Liverpool appeared in court yesterday and has been remanded in custody after he was arrested at the Sea Terminal in Douglas last Friday.

Inspector Derek Flint says there are tough penalties for those caught trying to import illegal substances:
