Public urged to back ice rink

Sat, 26 Oct 2013

The public has been urged to get behind the ice rink this winter in order to help make it a success.

It's making a return to the Island after taking a break over the last few years.

Organisers have promised a winter wonderland feel at its new home in Tynwald Mills – it will open for business on December 7th.

This year it’s being run in conjunction with the Helping Hands project and organisers hope to raise around £40,000 for local charities.

Rugby star, and former Dancing on Ice winner, Kyran Bracken is one of the people behind the project – he says people need to use it or lose it:
