Government praises steam railway refurbishment

Major work to provide a dining service on the steam railway is money well spent according to government.

Isle of Man Railways has launched a new Dining Car service.

Two saloon carriages have been refurbished so they are suitable for a number of fine dining experiences.

It's hoped that the service will attract more people to travel on the train.

Director of Transport Ian Longworth says the project was justified despite the difficult economic times:
