A good team effort from a number of organisations has helped the Island fare the recent stormy weather.

That’s the view of the Manx Electricity Authority which has been dealing with the aftermath of gale force winds, a tidal storm surge and an electrical storm.

Emergency services, the Met Office, Department of Infrastructure and flood response team have all been working together to stop any associated problems.

The MEA says the collaborative effort means staff could be mobilised early enough to try and prevent danger.
