Manx2.com responds to Cork crash report

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

Manx2.com says the devastating impact of a fatal plane crash in 2011 is not something that the passing of time has diminished.

In a statement released on behalf of the company, it says it welcomes the final report into the incident at Cork Airport on February 10th - when six people died.

The flight - operated by Flightline BCN - lost control whilst landing in heavy fog.

The Air Accident Investigation Unit found nine factors contributed to the tragedy, including; crew tiredness and fatigue and an inadequate oversight by the operator.

Now in liquidation, the company says its employees gave the investigation its full cooperation to ensure lessons could be learnt and air safety improved.
