Rates to rise by 0.5 per cent in Douglas

Douglas Council will be increasing rates in the capital.

The levy will be increased by 0.5 per cent to 397p in the pound.

That applies to the 2014 and 2015 financial year.

It equates to a rise of four pence per week for a typical three bedroom semi-detached house.
