More tidal flooding expected today and tomorrow

Weather warnings have been issued for today and tomorrow with the possibility of more tidal flooding.

The Isle of Man Met Office has issued an amber warning for today as high tides and gale force winds combine to create storm surges.

High tides later this morning are expected to reach a height of almost eight metres, and heavy rain could also lead to localised flooding, swollen rivers and standing water.

The area’s most at risk are Douglas, Castletown, Ramsey, Laxey and Gansey.
