Funds will be made available to pay for the damage caused by the recent stormy weather.

That’s according to the Chief Minister – although he is still of the opinion the Isle of Man doesn’t need a permanent emergency weather fund.

The Island has been battered by strong winds, and high tides, which have led to flooding and significant damage particularly around promenade areas.

The storms at the start of January cost in excess of £300,000 and the cleanup operation has begun once again.

Allan Bell does admit the Island needs to make more preparations for the future:
