Public invited to discuss GCSE changes

Members of the public have been invited to discuss changes to the GCSE system.

The Department of Education and Children is currently considering the future of the qualifications for 14-16 year-olds.

GCSEs are being changed in England from 2015 - a move that has been rejected by Northern Ireland and Wales.

Meetings have been organised at the Island’s schools to pave the way for a full public consultation on the direction of the Island’s education system.
