Yellow fever vaccine available to Island travellers

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

Island travellers who need the yellow fever vaccine can now get it through the Department of Health.

The vaccination had been unavailable since last summer, however, it is now back in stock.

Yellow fever strikes in tropical regions of Africa and South America and carries a high mortality rate.

It must be given at least 10 days prior to travel, and is available from three designated yellow fever vaccine centres.
