Mixed views from public on electricity price increase

Members of the public have reacted angrily to the news that electricity prices in the Island are rising next month.

The three per cent increase has been attributed to rising fuel costs and the need to support government’s rebalancing programme.

Our listeners have been having their say. Writing on our Facebook page, Pete asks whether the people in charge realise people are already struggling to pay their bills.

Andy says that along with the so-called 'toilet tax', it’s another £71 to find each year, and Dawn asks when people are going to be given a pay rise to cope.
