Man charged after inappropriate behaviour

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

A man has been arrested and charged after acting inappropriately and causing distress to dog walkers.

Over the last week the same man has been involved in two incidents near to the railway lines in Santon and Union Mills.

On Monday police and the dog unit were called to the tracks between Marown and Union Mills where officers say he was acting in a manner which caused distress to two females.

He was then seen acting in a similar manner again in Santon yesterday.

The man was arrested yesterday afternoon and admitted being involved in both incidents - he will now appear at Douglas Courthouse.

Police have thanked the witnesses for reporting the incidents and helping to resolve the matter.
