MHK probes legality of Sefton bailout

The spotlight will once again be put on the controversial Sefton bailout in next month's sitting of Tynwald.

South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft wants to know who the appropriate legal representative is to offer an insight into different aspects of the deal.

She is asking the acting Attorney General to find someone who would not be conflicted in giving an opinion.

Mrs Beecroft wants to know if the loans and the purchase and lease back of the Middlemarch site complied with relevant legislation.
